2014 Yangarra Ironheart Shiraz McLaren Vale

Tasting: This wine presents a deeply saturated red/purple hue, with a bouquet characterized by savory, walnut, and dried-bay leaf aromas. It boasts a full-bodied and super-ripe profile, almost opulent in its richness, with dense extract, hints of licorice, and spicy undertones. The finish is remarkably long-lasting. This bold and solid wine, crafted from fruit sourced from two blocks, incorporates 25% whole bunches and undergoes wild yeast fermentation in French oak, with 40% new barrels, aging for 15 months followed by a barrel selection process. With meticulous quality control, it achieves a remarkable depth of flavor and presence while maintaining its lively character. The aroma evokes a spice shop neighboring a bakery, with dark fruit flavors complemented by lively acidity and firm yet shapely tannins. It’s outstanding now, promising an even brighter future ahead.
